I would guess 2, as that is all that's provided originally i think. I'm quite shocked that it's mandatory to provide them, but then again any safety feature must be retained/replaced with those types of mods.
i shall be watching this thread as i hope to one day dual cab mine, although littlun's in a booster seat these days so doesn't need anchor points.

I'm doing mine at the moment, my engineer said I will need 3 of them, one for each usable seat. (5 seater, that means 3 full seats in the back).
They are besically just 5/16" threads, I just bought some 5/16" high tensile nuts and they will be welded into the 25mmx25mm bracing that runs along the rear of my cab, on the inside.

your right but the rear split seat you speak of is soon to be my tipper tray!niss50 wrote:In a GQ there is only two, GQ's have a split back seat cann't have a child seat over it.
thus the seats that count are the three seats that are left so ok ill run with 3 anchor points and better to be safe than sorry and shouldnt be too much hassle to chuck em in!
cheers for replies

depending on where it was cut the child restraint anchor points are in the floor behind the seats just in front of the seam that most guys use to chop
a dual cab , if not you can use the new wall brace like A.J said

What vehicle cateogory is it?
If its NA they are not required, if it is MC with a 60/40 seat then two are required if it has a straight bench with no split then 3 are required.
Some of the Patrols such as mine were certified as a commercial vehicle (NA) so ADR34 is not required.
Edit: If you are going to fit them, make sure you look at the diagram in ADR34, the child restrains must be placed in a radius at least 230mm rear of the seating reference R point (figure 5, page 15).
