7.8hp winch motor worth it or not?

Has Anyone tried out using 7.8hp motors on a high mount running 24volt. How did you find it and is it a worthwhile upgrade from a 6hp motor? I know alot of guys ude them down in New Zealand but don't know why not around here. Thanks for your help.

Simple equation.
The best 24v motor is the 7.8hp 24v Superduty.
The best 12v motor is the 6hp Warn motor.

The 7.8hp 12v Superduty motors are good but the Warn motor is better.
From what I've seen the 12v Superduty with 24v would be a handgrenade!

I've run 24v Superduty motors for a long time ie I got of the first into NZ and was he first person to run twin 7.8's on a winch. (Wazza modified his adapter to suit for me) I've also run 6hp Warn motors with 12v and 24v but never run the 12v 7.8's as i have seen alot of guys use them and then go to th 6hp with better results.

stick with the warn i tryed a 7.8 with 24v and got about 40m of the 70 odd meters of rope onto the drum and that was it fried, that was only lite load spooling the rope.

Is that running 12 or 24 volt system and is it a 12 volt or 24 volt motor your are talking about.......

Superduty, NZ, is this the Traxion motor?
I've got a 7.8hp motor on a low mount from Traxion, been on for a few years now, and treated like shite, absolutly fantastic. It's on a Premier.
I'd definately get another one if I could, only 12v though, don't have a need for 24v until now, so keen to hear the rest of this.

I know q few guys that went back to the 4.6hp after using the 7.8 12v and the 4.6 performed better. But not hard facts to back this up only seat of pants dyno!
