94 GQ 4.2 diesel to 98 GU 4.5 petrol Qld any isues unforseen

I have a 94 GQ 4.2 diesel and want to put it in my 98 GU 4.5 petrol. I rang Qld transport and they said ring Nissan to see what motor options were available for the 98 GU. Obviously the 4.2 was an option but I belive the pumps were a little different. I rang an engineer and he said no problem it will past emmisions.

My 4.5 has lost oil pressure. I pulled the oil filter of to put a new one on to see if that made a difference and the old one was empty so either the oil pump is worn out or there is shit blocking the pick up. I dont really want to spend dollars on the 4.5 and find out it needs a rebuild aswell from low oil pressure damage when I really want a 4.2 diesel for the towing power and economy.

Any body done the same conversion or similar without any dramas from transport.

Pulled the sump of the 4.5 to check if it was clogged or something and it was clogged with bits of metal & brass. Motor has 250 000 on the clock. Motor is still running but is knocking. Not that I am driving it.

So if any one wants to buy a 4.5 for a rebuild or for the accessories like head, new starter, leads, dizzy, coil and near new radiator pm me. Also I have a 94 rolling ute coming up for sale minus gear box and motor I have it advertised in the vehicles for sale section.
