HDJ79 PTO?

Post by Geoffro »

Hi guys I am looking at buying a HDJ79 turbo diesel ute but I need the pto option on the side of the gearbox. I know the HZJ179 has the hole for the pto but I havn't been able to find any info on the H150F box which comes with the HD.
Thanks for the help in advance.
Geoff.

Toyota pto's run off the transfer case.

The transfer case should be the same between hz and hd models.

What else do you need besides the hole, gears to put in it, something to attach to it, etc.?

its not
the hz runs the light weight box like the 105 series 1hz the r series box
the td 1hd runs the h series box like the 80 series
some of the boxes i have seen from 79 series have the hole cast over like the full time 80 series does
so best to crawl under the truck and see what you have
worst case is you get a transfer from a barn door 80
80 series 1980 hilux cab supra twin turbo engine
1hdfte 80 series
LHD fz 80 series GX
