Well I'm back in the US again to have a crack at the Silver State 300 with the KOH crowd.
Lots of info on pirate here: http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=882188
I'll try and post some pics, but essentially it's a 300 mile 1 day desert race in Nevada. It's looking like there will be 17 buggies in the Ultra 4 class.
We're loading up and heading to Vegas tomorrow.
Tech and Contingency are Friday US time and Race is Saturday US time. There is live tracking at http://www.racetheworld.net

Dreaming of getting back to KOH
Well the race has been run and won, by the King, Loren Healy, making it two from two in the Ultra 4 series after his KOH win!
We came in 5th, about 10 minutes off fourth. Was a great race, however not driving the car at all between KOH and this race made it take me a while to get feel back for the car. Unfortunately I stuffed up and put the car slowly onto it's side in a corner early in the race, however with the high lift and help from another Ultra 4 guy we managed to get it going again. We also had a fuel filter block, that we flushed and got going again.
We hit a max speed of 107 mph, with large amounts of the race above 90mph! (all the way with the atlas in low 2:1!!) 300 miles is still a loooong way in a rock crawler tho!
