Long Range Tank for SWB Petrol Mav

Post by Edward »

What is the best option for a long range fuel tank for a SWB Petrol 1989 patrol? How many litres and ballpark dollars.

A couple of friends have just put tanks in theirs that are 179ltrs I think. Great for vic high country trips. Need a 3" body lift to fit that tank though.

145ltr is the general standard that will fit without body lift.

LRA (http://www.longrangeautomotive.com.au) make a 146l replacement tank for the shortie. They are about $770. they told me that they can make one that will match my 30mm body lift at no extra cost . . . as long as they have enough lead time and you put a deposit down.

I have a Brown davis tank. Normal price about $700. They are 145 and go to 165 if body lift similar money.
