WHICH BATTERY?????

Post by fatassgq »

I know this should prolly be in electrical but that doesn't seem to get responses as much.

I am up for a new battery for my dual battery set up and the dude is getting me a price today so I was hoping to get some oppinions quick..

I want to run an 80L waeco and 12v lights etc for as long as possible without charge. I have a 80W solar panel to complement whatever battery I get but I want to have as much power as possible for the longest period of time possible with one standard size battery. What should I use????

Trojan/optima/oddessy????
Was leaning toward the Trojan... 130 amp hours sounds good

But what's the go with these optima & oddessy jobs? They are popular but they don't seem to have long amp hour ratings.
Am I on the right track?

For what you want -lights, fridge etc- you need the battery with the largest amp/hr rating you can find. The Trojan sounds like the go out of those listed.
