Ok you got me curious, what are you going to do with the other 9 litres of brake fluid becouse I cant see you using more than 1 litre. And it looks like it does not matter what fluid is in car all ready dot3 and dot 4 can be mixed . Thanks everybody for their replies.[quote][/quote]

u can easy use more than a 1-2L per car if you are flushing the system

the resevoir on mine is pretty big(ABS), looks like it holds 1-2 litres on its own

plus we are flushing the whole system

I will be pulling my calipers off and pushing the pistons right back too (as im doing wheel bearings aswell)

I did not want to run out of fluid half way through our flush, so i got plenty.

We had a new Prado a few years ago shit a master cylinder with Dot4. We now use whatever the reservoir cap says just to cover our ass. We had previously been using dot 4 only for many years.

Read somewhere recently, I think the Nissan dealers' own manual, that Dot3 and Dot4 should not be mixed. It then stated that Nissan supplied vehicle with Dot3 from factory. Again, make of that what you will.
