Hilux Lean Problem
I have an LN106 hilux duel cab with a bad case of the leans.
Its sitting about an inch and a half to 2 inches lower on the right.
I have 2 inch springs and 3 inch longer shocks.
What can i do to rectify the problem without those blocks.
Also the springs and shocks are not old, about 4 months with bugger all use off road!

buy yourself an adjustable torque rod/ diff locator. available from locktup for $110 delivered or superior engineering or even ebay but i recommend locktup4x4. this will solve your problem if installed correctly. remove your old torque rod which runs from the top of the diff to the front of the ute. jack up the drivers side on the chassis until height is equal, then lenghten the new adjustable rod so it fits and bolt it in. do it soon before your drivers side spring is stuffed.
parabolics haha , cause that'll fix the problem , take the torque rod out and take it for a lap round the block, see if it sits fine, mine sits on the leans when i park it only cause my castor is about 80000 degrees out.
I'd take it out and drive it round the block before i jacked the drivers side up and adjustd the torque rod, if it has already sagged or some other weird problem, you'll possibly tear a whole in the chassis after a bit of driving.
And did you put the drivers side pack in the drivers side, they are different to deal with the constant weight of you on that side of the car.

How important is the torque rod in a 2.8d luxy?? I have an adjustable one in my lux but I'm thinking about taking it out so my front end can flex freely...
Sorry for the thread high Jack, as for your problem I think in a hilux it's something u just get use to (mine sags 20mm) but 2inchs is a fair bit. Good luck mate

The best way to fix it. With my spring pack i run a extra 2 or so in the right pack to stop the sag. Another thing no torque rod will do is increase your chances of snapping a j arm by around 20 billion times, If you have the most flex that is.yamaha__308 wrote:I run an extra cut down leaf on the driver's side to correct the sag.

I had the same problem in my lux for a while...
Lets get one thing straight, I really cant see how the torque rod is the reason it is sagging. The reason is you have the driver, battery and fuel tank all on the one side which is what causes the lean.
The reason why i say it is i have been running the same EFS front 3" lifted springs for around 5 years now and about 2 months after i installed them (with a adjustable torque rod ) they had sagged approx 2" on the drivers side... thats right 2"
Now i also had a extra load spring on each side, but this never affected the sag (or wheel travel ). But when i decided on installing a toyota 4 runner 5link coil (factory) rear end i also removed my fuel tank from the RHS and installed a toyota prado 80lt rear tank under the tray in the centre of the chassy rails.
I also put a 2nd battery in the engine bay on the LHS at the same time.
2" lean instantly gone.
I understand the torque rod will make it slightly worse, but in is not the fix, nor is it the sole problem.
As said the easiest fix is to cut down some short (load) springs and put them on the RHS to help surport the extra weight on the RHS.
This is a very common problem and although the springs are labelled left/ right, they still sag (in most trucks) and need a litte extra something to surport them.
