Battery box for back of GQ

I only have a single battery in the patrol and am looking to mount a second battery in a box in the cabin to run my 35L Waeco.

Can anyone recomend a good (not expensive) battery box that already has the wiring?

Also what battery (not expensive like optima) and size would i need? Probably only needs to run the Waeco under 24 hours.

I dont know about battery boxes with the wire already in it, but i've moved mine to the back end of my bj42 cruiser using a box from super cheap. I had to fit two eye bolts to the floor either side and used a rachet strap to hold it down. The engineer looked over my truck last week for the spring over i did and wanted me to vent the box. Bing inside the truck it has to run a hose from the lid to the outside. Not sure if you knew this but i didnt...

I think venting has to do with what type of battery you run. Pretty sure AGM dont need venting.

Would also be a consideration to have a battery that wasnt liquid filled such as a Absorbed glass mat or gel so that it cant spill

Sidewinder do portable dual battery kits for the inside of your car. Check out

They also do battery boxes, but i'm not entirely sure what you are after.

In terms of the battery, I had an Exide Extreme deep cycle in my GQ to run my fridge and from memory it was only about $120 to buy.

sla batterys will need to be vented as the cells have air vents in their caps, and they release gasses, if your running it in a cab i would definatly be using gel cells, and im lookin to do this to mine in the not so distant future

If you look at gels, they have vent caps too. If you read the MSDS for them they will tell you they will vent gasses.
You might have to consider those dry cells if you dont want to vent them outside.
