Post by macneil »

Hey Guys,

Mate has a 12ht 60 series Cruiser with an auto box behind it... on the weekend he went to drive off home got to the bottom of a hill stopped changed to 4 low went to take off all of a sudden no go in it.. car will select reverse perfectly in 4 low 4 high and 2 high but slips like buggery and wont really move in and foward drive gears...

he has had problems with it not shifting to over drive but never had this??

plenty of oil in it... but does smell bad but doesnt explain why it reverses???

Reverse uses a different servo piston and bands. probably got just enough hydraulic pressure to engage it.

Drain the burnt fluid from the box and refill it with clean fluid and some Morey's Transmission fix, should get it driveable. and if treated nice may even last a while.
