As i just installed 6.5's in my t-case, i'm looking for some form of reinforcement. As rocktoy rings are no longer in production, i began looking elsewhere.
I came across this http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.ph ... spine.html at lowrange offroad, and as far as i can see it's basically a rocktoy ring.
Does anyone know if this is pretty much the same, as in it gets bolted to the case and then simply welds to the original mounts? In other words, is the 'additional fabrication' they refer to just welding to the original mounts, or is there more involved with this?
I was looking at the calmini hd cradle, but i think that for my needs (31's and open diffs), this should suffice. Or anyone think this wont be enough?
Thanks for any input

Mate with 31's and open diffs, you dont need any reinforcement. Im twin locked with 6.5's and up until a week ago when i raised the transfer an inch for a little more clearance, i was running standard rubber mounts.
Several mates are also running crawlers and lockers/welded diffs, none of them run reinforced mounts.

Do what oozuk said...The roctoy is good but overkill for you. The mighty kong reinforces your case as well....to prevent your case from being damaged all you really need to do is to tie in both mounts to stop the case twisting on them. The mighty kong will do this plus give you a skidplate as well.
like PJ said....i'm double locked, 34s, wheel "mostly" clay hills and mud with occasional rock and I've never popped a mount. I use spidertrax HD mounts...these are cheaper and work well, but don't tie in the two mounts.
