**2003 Hilux Seating**

Post by robbo_000 »

hey all, ive got a 2003 single cab 4x4, 3.4 v6
and im wanting to put 2 buckets in the front to replace the single and the 3/4

just wondering if anyone on here has done this or anyone has good knowledge in doing this.

is there any kind of buckets from different cars that line straigh up or with minimals modifications ?

im not too fussed on what the seats come out off, just wanting 2 buckts in there.

also in QLD so is mod plating this quite easy, or am i going to run into a whole lot of trouble

thanks lads.

hey mate ive got a single cab with 2 buckets. all i did was buy a passenger bucket and center console out of a duel cab. pull out the 3/4 seat and there will be vinyl covering the transmission tunnel. feel for the 2 bolt holes under this vinyl and cut small holes. now my console didnt line up so i drilled new holes in the console (dont drill the cab) the console then bolted up the the gearstick surround. the seat was a bit harder. for some reason the outside rail on the bucket seat was higher then the same rail on the 3/4 seat so i had to swap them. i wont explain as its to hard with out looking at the seat. depending on what seat you get it mightn't do this. then as its still a hilux seat it should just bolt down. i had to pull the seat belt out of the 3/4 seat and put it on the bucket because the one on there didn't lock on my seat belt. i did the conversion using hilux seat and parts because 1. its easier and 2. it looks like it came like this from factory. i have photos but it won't let me post them
