80 series speedo head (I think)

Does anyone have a working speedo head for my 80, its a petrol, auto with electonic speedo,
It doesent move the needle but the odomiter still works,
Any ideas anyone?

ha my needle moves and odo dont work, not such a problem though,
Not that it helps you. Sound like a cluster prob though

Easiest solution, get a new cluster from the wreckers. It could be that someone has tampered with your gauges IE. Winding the clock back. You have to remove the needle completly to remove the panel infront of the taco. And if the pin is pushed back too tighly it binds on the speedo face.

(Not that I know or have every done this) :)

Thanks guys, the speedo needle used to work then it just stopped.
Does anyone know of a wrecker who doesent want $300 for a speedo head ?

have you tried unplugging the wiring at the gear box, cleaning, and reconnecting, i had the same problem, but has now been working well for months. good luck.
