Supercharge V Turbo

Post by Old Man White »

Some of you may have seen my earlier post headed "100 Power Upgrade", the problem is still which system is the best taking into account that the donor vehicle is a 2001 LC 100 Petrol/LPG Auto & is a tow horse for a caravan with a GVM of 3.5t....tare is 2.5t.

Am concerned with excessive heat or does the intercooler take care of that problem.

Currently Sprintex S/charger seems to be the cheapest option with a kit retailing at approx $4450 inc GST but no installation, given the HP figures quoted this system is comfortably in front of any Turbo Kit that I`ve come across.

Over to you for any & all advice/comment or instruction !!

all the intercooler does is cool the air before it goes into your cylinder(cool air equals denser air = more power)

super charger uses power to make power the motor has to work to turn the screw to make more power

the turbo uses waste exaust gasses to turn the turbo to make the power

its all personal preference but if you look at most trucks they run turbos there always hauling something
IF IN DOUBT GO FLAT OUT
