surf chassi sas swap

Post by banks001 »

hey guys,

looking at buying a hilux surf chassi (coil rear model) and puting a 94 single cab on it (similar to buds daily driver again) i no mounts ect have to be moved,

what i am worrying about is getting the whole car approved when im done and wat the process is, it will be all hilux running gear ect but just a surf chassi with a sas swap,

if anyone has gone threw this process before with gettin a sas approved, or a different cab on a different chassi please spill ur beans

any help will be great,

cheers mick

Hey,

I've done it in NZ with a 130 surf chassis that's had a 78 series Prado (bundera) front HP diff fitted then fitted my 65 series Lux single cab and bobbed wellside to it, cant post any pics as i have to make 5 posts eh

But back to the question in NZ its easy as to get this certed and road legal as long as the welding and fab work is sound and everything on the truck its road worthy etc.

cheers mick

talk to an engineer or mod plater as he is the one giving you the mod plate, may have to one mode at a time, to avoid having to put it through as a individualy constructed vehcle then its a drama.
