Protrack Locker for ROCKY+FEROZA (Greece)
Good news we finally have the protrack air type lockers.
Here is a locker that fits both for front and rear ROCKY diffs
Rocky
http://www.protrack.gr/proionta/daihats ... ocker.html
For the feroza there is not yet price or pictures but now we are waiting for the front locker also to be done. See pictures from a GV (old model)

It costs a lot of money for an old car, has the same price as an ARB but it can be made for every car in the market.
He has already made front and rear for the Rocky, a rear for a Feroza, and now I am waiting for my front locker for my Feroza.
He is a very good mechanic and his system works fine in all cars installed.
Same use as an ARB, with the air pump etc....
My personal opinion is that it gives no more value to the car that is installed because here in Greece, people don't buy second-hard modified cars. They prefer them as stock as possible.
Still it is a must-have equipment for an off-road vehicle!
You shall have all pictures and videos when it is ready!

I will try to make a better human-translation, although my english is not that good:

THats' pretty comparable to other lockers ( which you can't get... ) so i'd suggest its a reasonable price ( $1200Aud ). For international orders Greek VAT is refundable ?
What will be an issue to consider is shipping - don't be surprised is it ends up being double the cost delivered.

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.

I talked with him today, and if somebody is interested he may be able to arrange an export. He has done it before for EE countries, he is willing to do it again.
To the details:
If someone is interested in ordering, he must contact him for the fitting details, the exact cost and the shipping cost and method, but in any way, you shall have to contact your local customs to learn about the vat you will have to pay for the locker to be imported in Australia.
His e-mail is
amorgianos@protrack.gr
If you have any more questions you also can ask me and I can contact with him.
P.S. I hope this is not a site-violation advertisment or something.... in any way if the admins feel like they can erase the message above.

For the Rocky he has used the stock gears so he can send the components of the locker in a small box, but for the Feroza has used different gear so the post will be bigger and heavier.

i'd suggest that for an off road product - warranty is always going to be difficult for the manufacturer and purhaser.
Given the fact that lockers are likely to be fitted to vehicles that get used hard - figuring out a possible failure is always going to be a challenge.
With this being an almost unique product, and certianly not for the average driver I think its one of theose risks you have to take. Extra traction is going to stress other parts like axles / tranmissions etc. Like all 4x4's there's a limit to how much stress you can apply before something breaks.
With transfer gears i've turned standard Feroza axles into corkscrews and have chrom/molly units in my very non standard axles..... you have to build as a package.
This is not reflection on the manufacturer....... its just that off road stuff can really cop a hammering. I've see broken Rockwells/Dana 60's.... anything can be broken if you try hard enough.
And - its not as if there's much choice getting someone to make lockers for such a low volume vehicle is a small miracle in itself.
Not critizing anyone...... its just a difficult issue for everyone.

Well as MM said it is a one-way situation if someone wants a locker in stock feroza diffs..... When I ordered it I really didn't care for warranty because I didn't had/have any other choice and second because we had both front/rear protrack lockers in a Grand Vitara and they are reliable as much as any other...... after 2 years and many many times that we used them we never had a single problem with the locker itself ....
I agree completely but the information is interesting. The fact they do offer a warrenty for units they install does indicate a level of confidence in the strength which is reassuring even for those who would be doing a DIY fit.i'd suggest that for an off road product - warranty is always going to be difficult for the manufacturer and purhaser.

Re: Protrack Locker for ROCKY+FEROZA (Greece)
That's pretty cool - if you had have suggested that anything for a Diahatsu would be available a year ago... i'd have called you VERY OPTIMISTIC.... ( or dreaming )
Lockers just make so much difference to offroad capability,

Re: Protrack Locker for ROCKY+FEROZA (Greece)
Update:
I have installed a front air-locker in my feroza six months ago.
Excellent as a product, I still haven't broken anything (yes I tried) runs perfectly and makes a great difference to the vehicles off road abilities!
here is the video of the first test
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q-PGuctxA8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I've spend many money to my vehicle over the past 10 years it may be the first time it is worth every single euro!!
I've used it a lot haven't made any more videos yet.....
It's more than worth installing!
*all gears inside the front diff are new, it runs on the big ARB compressor and works perfectly so far. Also front half-axles seem to have no problem even whilst turning with the diff locked.
