Hey everyone. Im needing some help from the electrical minded people here.
My daihatsu rocky battery has been going flat over 5 or 6 days without use. When i remove to recharge it and put it back in charged the external regulator clicks. Im thinking it may be a bad diode (circled in blue) in the alternator because the 'N' terminal (red dot at alternator) has constant 12 volts on it. Thus turning on the relay in that half of the regulator and slowly draining the battery. prevoiusly the regulator has never clicked when ive reconnected the battery for anything.
if i start the engine the alternator does charge. at no time does the charge light come on on the dash and i have checked the wiring and bulb
let me know what you think
dan
