mine has been reliable, bit heavy on fuel but,
Without towing they have a bit of poke with the exhaust done.
i think about 20-22 ltrs per hundred klms

Fuel wise I was getting, about 18lt/100km and turboed about15-16lt/100km. Reliability wise I got 300000km out of my stocko and when stripped down, it had next to no wear, and absolutely no dramas since new.

anyone know what sort of fuel economy you would get out a 4.8 loaded up for touring doing the simpson or cape etc? would 30L/100Ks cover it anyone got one?

Thirsty 22/100 towing a camper on the highway and No power for towing especially in the auto. Mine shit itself at around 260 000. It did not like towing the race truck. i have now replaced the motor with a 4.2 turbo diesel and now manuel. Will tow a lot better now and half the fuel cost.
