Anyone running inverted rim's on their GQ?
Anyone running inverted rim's on their GQ?
Hey guys had a look around the search function for this topic but haven't quite got what i need.
Found plenty of pics of guys cutting the front guard which is awesome, gives me a good idea of whats needed but just curious of how many people are running them? How much cutting is involved of the guard for say a 35-36 inch tyre?
It's looking at going on a GQ ute with 5 inch lift in the front, no body lift and 2dextreme drop arms which i think are a touch longer than standard anyway so should have pushed the diff forward already.
Any help or pic's would be appreciated

Honey i cut the car in half!
Looks very tough indeed. Those boys are runing tyres a little bigger then i'm planning on but gives me a fair idea of what to expect thou.
38's would be great but not quite in the potential budget methinks.
Just thinking i'd rather take off as little out of the guards as possible.

It depends on your set up and how much rubbing you get. If tyres rub lower the bumpstops to suit.Josh n Kat wrote:Hadn't thought abut that yet.
Do you need to in the front and the rear?
Nitto Mud Grapplers, Lockrite, 4.3s, Trail Ready BL, PTO, High pinion rear,Gu diff with Buds Customs armour and heaps of Superior gear, 24% Reduction .
ah right gotchya!
Yeah we'll have to see how bad it rubs on the front, i'm obviously gonna have to trim the back half of the guards anyway to get them to fit but we'll just wait and see what happens with the rear. It's a ute anyway so there's not much to hit back there other than the tray.
