rear upper control arm?
rear upper control arm?
When coil lifting my GQ my rear upper controll arm hits my second fule tank, so diff can not work it won't drop. my question is? When i fabricate a new one should it be the same length as the stock standard one with a bend to miss the tank, or should i get full drop then mesure that and make to suit?
control arms
Ute GQ If you want make your own take the standard ones out let the diff will move till the spring prech is flat. you should check that the diff flang and the transfer flange are at the same angle then bend tube and cut to right lenght, if you aren't handy with a welder buy a set.
If you are going to build an arm and you don't have a quarter chop I would build it shorter to suit the lift, you don't have the luxury of and adjustable arm. You obviously have to build the other side shorter also.
As they say though you can buy a pair of arms for about $350 with the bushes pressed in already.
