what diff Armour do you have? where is it from? approx price? is it good (protection vs. bulkyness)?

any recommendations?

Looking for something for front diff on GQ wagon.

have a superior kit on my gu in gq. absolutely brilliant. very strong comes with everything. cant remember price but well worth it. have launched it and used it as a battering ram and still perfect.
only the first roll hurts, then its a ride..

the superior kit is $220 including bracing and diff guard.

Good protection, cheap insurance imo

checked there site. looks pretty good. have to check clearance on sump for that top brace..

it is a bit weird actually. had mine fitted through a mate who has fitted plenty of winch comp trucks and had to knotch the top brace as they hit the sump but my truck is built for slow and travel and it clears the sump with a 5link no problems but mine has more travel.????
would recommend the superior product anyday.

Superior kit is the go ive braced and used diff gaurd top brace just touch sump when i jumped the truck about 4 feet in the air and thats on 6 inch coils.

nice work. are u going to put a bit of pipe or similar around the drain bung?

220 seems a bit steep for the kit in my opinion. think i might see what i can make along the same lines..

also do i need to remove centre (with locker) or drop oil to weld it on?? or leave all in??

leave the oil in so it catches any scale inside caused by heat from the weld
drain it when finished though
you dont need to remove any thing but helps if the diff is out for ease of welding (better peno too)
i think 220 is a fair price considering but ive got two hands and a brain
just like the bloke makin them and i prefer one off custom made parts
so always have a go before partin with my $$$
not sure yet about drain plug i want to maybe shave the bottom in the future

save yourself a whole day and $ in buying bits and pieces.

dont forget the superior ones come with the bash plate, long length to brace the housing, metal " O " ring to protect bung and the 4 small parts to weld in the dips before the knuckles.

I do like your work there to Daz. looks :cool: well done.
