steering setup for a soa on a hj60
im doing a soa on a hj60 on a budget, ive seen the histeer setup and ive heard of the double arm set up,but i carnt get a good pic of the double arm system, can someone post a pic of there double arm set up? ive also heard of heating and bending the steering arms as a cheap and easy way to solve the steering system, some advice would be appricieted from someone who has done this conversion......thanks.....
thanks nat and ausdog, this helps me out heaps, ive sat in front of my computer for 4 days now googleing pics and info on a soa but i couldnt find anywhere a pic of the double arm system, now i have an exact idea on how it all goes together, thanks heaps........ausdog i could possibly be interested in the diffs that you/ mate has (as all the cutting and welding has been done) what sort of $$$ would you/he be wanting for both diffs?

you also have to remember it is not legal to weld the steering like in the Nat84's first pic, no engeeriner will pass it if it has been welded like that. The ORI cased one will pass all day long

thanks for that tip macarther 4x4, i found a double steering arm from superior enginering for about $170.00 it looks cast but they say it has been welded and guarenteed not no break,(life time waranty) im hoping this one will do,is it better from an enginering point of view to reuse the original perges top and bottom with the rectangular u bolts or do away with that and only weld in a new top one and use the circular u bolts that u can purchace from a 4 x 4 shop, ive seen it done both ways and the original equipment looks heaps cleaner???
