Best Rims
Just brought a set of 37" 12.5 16 Treps and need new rims what brand of rim do you guys think are good and 8 or 10" what suits the treps better I'am thinking 10s but had 36" ET2 on 8 as alot of people said they worked better on 8s than 10s. what do you think . Thanks Steve

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick there cra3ed - 12.5's aren't legal on 8" rims (yes, really)
You are correct that 10's are unlikely to be legal on anyones car.
Probably not relevant though, as it's unlikely 37" treps are legal in any case, and if they're stickies they're not going to see much road use in any case.
I'd run Walker Evans, KMC or any other "made as a beadlock" alloy wheel.
They're all 17X9's, so perfect for a 12.5.

8.5" is the minimum approved width for 33x12.5" tyres (i.e to be road legal) in Australia.
To sum up:
Most (that's MOST - not ALL ) vehicles running 33x12.5" tyres in Australia are NOT road legal.

I've never had any issues with either Dynamica or ROH steel rims, both have withstood significant punishment. I believe the Dynamica rims are used on many of the Landcruisers in the mines as they have the highest load carrying capacity and are certified as such.

Had a look in the 2009 book and it is no longer in there due to copyright reasons, went looking for the old book and it has disappeared. You are right though, that legally a 12.5 wide tyre has to be on a 8.5 wide rim minimum but as due to the fact that most (if not all) tyres that are 12.5 wide aren't legal on most 4wds, H2 Hummer is the only one I can think of that they are, makes it irrelevant though-Scott- wrote:Cool.
