Anyone want to swap

Post by Guy »

It looks like I will be needing to get another vehicle ..
I am after a 4cyl jap vehicle reliable easy to drive and pref roadworthy or at least near rwc .. (2 or 4wd old hilux .. )

The vehicle to trade I hear you ask .. My Zuk Its a 92 with a good 1.6 in it, SPOA, rears up front, 4.16 T/case, 35inch claws, welded rear diff. It is registered but would be a very big ask for it to pass roadworthy. Has brand new wheel bearings (150Kms on em)..

It's a reluctant disposal as I do love my Zuk, but as it looks like the contract I am working on may finish up soon due to a major backer pulling the pin, I need a relaible daily driver, as I dont want to be looking for a vehicle when I am trying to get a new job ..

Anyone interested ?? PM me .. (I am in melbourne)

You should be able to find something for cheap in the tading Post. my brother got a good reliable early Corolla for about $500 which lasted for quite a few years even with some rally inspired damage. be worth checking out that avenue first before getting rid of the Zuk

Actually may look to sell it or swap for an early hilux 2 or 4wd, just had an offer of work in a small business for some part time (potentially full time) work, but will need a Ute to participate ... (dudluxs are still pretty trustworthy and economical steads even if it all falls through .. ) ..

I am looking to get away from IT... 10 years in one industry is enough!

A friend of mine runs a business that restores old chairs chests of drawers etc... Something I really love doing.
The guy he was working with has gone interstate, along with his small truck (very useful for delivering and picking up goods) He has known for a long time that this is something I really enjoy so has asked if I would like to give it a go (i.e. the part time bit) .. So I figure why not, less $$ but more enjoyment plus getting out and about, digging around yard sales etc...Plus its a good excuse to buy tools .. :D
