60 series speedo correction?

just a quick Q for you all,

how do i correct the speedo for running larger tyres on my 60 series?

Marks do a speedo correction box, you need to see how much yours is out (use a gps) and they can supply one to suit. (there are 3 off the shelf units available also) Cost is around 200 bucks. Or, try a heap of different 60 speedos...... I have 285x75x16 on my 60, and speedo is near spot on, just a little under (around 2 k's at 100 kph)

GOOGLE "ratio boxes" there is a joint in Sydney that sell em.

i know you can get them for the electronic speedos like in an 80S

You can get your speedo re-calibrated too. Dude in St Mary's Sydney does them

I got mine put on a dino years ago and at 100km/h the speedo read 99 and that was with 35's
82 60 series ute, 351 clevo, C4 auto, rollcage, front & rear ARB lockers

Mine was about that much...

Had it made at my local sparky while i waited.

It screws into the g/box where the speedo cable screws in and the speedo cable is then screwed into the correction box.

Had to fit it for the engineer.
