hey ive had 2 arb air lockers turn to shit lately............

the cross shaft in the locker has come out an jammed on the pinoin gear
was doin 80kph down thhe road when it locked up too pretty,
the locker was not activated
..
wonderin if its a common thing ??????
its the rear locker on a 97 hzj75
arb here want nothin to do wit it.
except hit me 1490 for a new locker

that sounds pretty nasty, by the sound of it the locker internals have failed not something relevant to the installation?

Maybe get onto their head office with a written explanation of what happened.

the older 8+" arb lockers had an issue with doing that when they got old.

Same story with ARB not wanting to know about it too...

This is why ARB are ghay :armsup:

Did you use profanity aimed at you ARB locker, therefor abusing it. :bad-words:

Going back to the first post, not the first time I have hear of this happening, have a friend with a Troopy that did just the same at similar speed.

A mates GU did that too. Was about 1000km old.

They tried not refunding with the same excuses as those described. He ended up getting his money back and putting the LSD back in.

Not bagging them, that is only one out of the 30 i know getting around. And they cop plenty of 'abUSE'. But considering ARBs number of sales you would have to expect a couple of malfunctions every now and then. And with that you would also expect a professional approach to fixing the matter, not just pointing fingers.
