SS3 is now finished with no cars DNF, but alot or carnage!

Not sure of results yet.

Carnage so far today

Car 3 Dave Cameron has bent a bump stop and coil tower - Still Running
Car 18 Phil Swindale has slight radiator leak - Still Running
Car 21 Andrew Mumford has blown turbo - Currently repairing should be able to rejoin for SS4
Car 17 Ross Cacialli had a few loose bolts after stage 2 - All Good now
Car 5 Nick Manell has a loose nut behind the wheel apparently - Still running, working out how to try and fix that.
Car 2 Lawrie Sternbeck probably has a broken front diff - Still running
Car 12 Bruce Borchadt had a bent tie rod - Now replaced but diff housing a bit bent.
Car 16 Mick Hingerty hit a big bump and the body flexed into the rear roll bar and smashed the back window in their GU Tray
Car 24 Matthew Moore has a bent from diff housing - Still running

Car 1 Greg Scanlan has retired from the event with a broken converter in the auto.

All other cars running well.

Most of the photos are on Facebook because it's so much easier to load on there, with OL you need to load onto Photobucket and the post to OL.

Because we have limited power and internet accessability eg. using iphones, laptops and poor coverage. I'm doing what's easiest and quickest. The batteries and inverter have been getting a work out.

Wouldn't hurt to join Facebook, it's easy to join and more pics, also have a short video from SS3 yesterday.

Will try to put more pics on here later.

Both sites have pros and cons.

Should have a Daily tally of results soon, just waiting for auditing to finish.

Hope you have been enjoying the info you have been receiving so far.

Hoon has gone to Silver City 4wd tonight to put a new gearbox I
in as he did the last stage without 2nd gear.

Car 22 extra cab 80 series has had issues with shocks and I believe they have gone back into town to repair also.

The boys in the land cruiser were in and out at SC 4x4 by about 11:00pm last night. New shocks and a couple of mods and all was fixed.

Hoon came in and the gear box change was started at about 10:00pm and a new box was installed by about 1:30am, but a problem arose with a mismatch of gearbox and bell housing models and the new box was pulled out at 2:00am and it was back in at 3:30am. 1.5hrs, (that would have to be a record time).
He was back on the road soon after.
cheers

The score sheets on Facebook are not readable. They are way too small.
