Old ARB turbo setup

Post by djroberts »

Hi there, my old man has a sixty with the old ARB turbo setup on it. kit contained as follows (2h):

- Turbo
- Manifold
- cross over
- Oil cooler + Lines
- Donaldson air cleaner
- 2.5" Exhaust
- Various bits of hardware usually contained in a kit

From what I can tell, the kit apears as though it would have been quite a comprehensive kit in it's time - well engineered.

The reason for posting this is because we have 2 projects that will coincide with eachother.

We have three sixty series and a troopy (2h). One with a 12ht, one with a good body (shell) and the other with lockers, 2h ARB, lift etc. our aim is to combine the three to get one good sixty. (Sounds like something from captain planet). The sixty with the lockers has the old ARB setup and the idea was to put the 12ht in the sixty and the ARB turbo onto the troopy.

I want to intercool both and fit gt28's to both. My main question is, without cleaning the 30 years of black crap off the ARB setup, what turbo did they run? does anybody know what the flange size is of the 12ht and the ARB setups???

I know it's a broad question but just in the planning stage at the moment.

Hope thats clear?

Cheers, Dave.

My arb manifold has a t3 flange, 12h-t has a ct26 flange. Gt2860 w/.64 AR ex. housing has t25 flange, gt2860 w/.80 AR ex. housing has t3 flange (off the top of my head).

I got my t3/t25 adapter from tweakit.

I think Matt mcinnes sells adapters for ct26 to t25/t3, maybe t3 to t25 as well.

...bored much?
