Howdy,
Just checking out some rear wheel bearings for a wide track sierra and found some which instead of having a wider inner ring, have a separate spacer bush to space the bearing from the collar.
Has anyone used these ones with a spacer on their widetrack, i guess it is just similar to having the proper bearing with the wider inner ring?
Thanks Ian

Rear wheel bearings
The result of using either kit is essentially the same. Suzuki changed to the 'in-built spaced bearing' in mid 89 (type 6) and superseded the rear wheel bearing to the same for every model Sierra. The main difference between using either (aftermarket) kit is that the one with the separate spacer is cheaper.
I noticed there is a few outlets selling the 'non-spaced bearing kit' without a spacer which is pretty silly. If somebody buys the kit, goes to fit it and are taking off a bearing with an in-built spacer, they'll be stuck. It's vital for the bearing to be spaced so the backing plate doesn't jam against brakes when reinstalled. Hope that makes sense?
