Hi all, The reasons for only two camp fires are - Property owners Request, and round 1 we had a incident with a young kid was injured from a fire. I hope this will clarifies why.

Look forward to seeing every one .

Hey Mosko, there is no loading ramps on site, but you maybe able to back up to on of the banks on the way in.

As for fires, we are having one fire place in the spectator camping area, and we will use the main entertainment area on site as the one for the competitors. Spectators are welcome to have a drink etc in the area on the comp site, but as per the rules for competitors, we will be shutting down for the night 1 hour after competing is finished. This means anyone staying in the competitors camp area or day trippers will need to vacate the site so the gates can be locked.

As we did in Raglan, we will have an after 5.00 alchol area.

The organisers Are EVIL!!! haha,
But apart from that it was an awesome weekend,
I would like to put a thanks out to Troy T for the lend of a main winch gear, and big thanks to crazy eyes for lending us his top hat and helping us salvage the few good parts we had left in our main winch after it decided to self destruct, and help put all the bits and pieces back together so we could get back into it and play some more!!

Congratulations to not only the winners but everyone who competed, you all put on a great show! but a special congrats to Team Fergy who took out modified class, a week and a half before the event these lads werent even going to compete, but after some persuation decided to make the trip to mackay and i bet they arent regreting their decision now!!

Bring on round 3, Cheers Mosko

WOW double WOW what a great event it was . a big thank you goes to the WTC crew as this was one of the hardest events i have been to and to make it harder i was the navy for ben mcamily and it was his 2nd comp he had been in and we only finished setting the car up the week befor so thanks to ben for letting me run for him .(1st stage was coff cofff weise weise haha)
a big congratulations goes to the teams that competed and the teams that won .
I take my hat of to the guys that run in the production class as the tracks were hard to be done in the cars on bigger rubber and more power then alone 35s and 12 volt winches the teams like zoo 4x4 it was there 1st event and they got some stage wins (in production class ) and team fergy you boys done real good it was a shame there main rival had a few car dramas but now that make rd 3 a real decider for that class .

cheers crazy eyes

ps mosko i was glad i could help mate it was a case of keeping as many competitors on the track as we can so we all can enjoy our chosen sport.

Well, what a weekend!! I'd just like to thank my "EVIL" counterparts - Davo & Brent  for the efforts & help over the weekend! Also, would like to thank the property owners - Jason & Kate for allowing us to use their land & create havoc there!! A big thanks goes to all competitors for their professionalism over the weekend as this is what we need to continue growing our sport. The stages were hard (told you all to bring spare jocks) - first time I've seen a morning stage (stage 2) outlast some of the afternoon stages! Stages 2 & 3 were my pick of the weekend.

Winners
Modified:
1st - RGM
2nd - Hawaii 50
3rd - EFS Qld

Production
1st - Team Fergy
2nd - Stockers with Lockers
3rd - ZOO 4X4

FULL SCORES ETC WILL BE UP SOON.

We also had a dash for cash which was taken out by RGM - entry fee for this was a minimum $20 - which was donated to the Calen Kindy - and we raised $251 from this for them. A big thanks to those teams who participated - it was a lot of fun for them to blow off some steam & kept the crowd entertained! A huge thanks to Stage Winners - RGM / Hawaii 50 / EFS Racing - who donated their Stage winnings back to go to the Calen Kindy! So in TOTAL we raised $651 for the Calen Kindy. For those who don't know - Calen Kindy was closed down due to a cut in Government funding - this was the only Kindy between Mackay and Proserpine - therefore a lot of kids are missing out even going to Kindy. They are hoping to have the Kindy back up and running by next term - if not it will be the start of next year!! Good luck to them - hope all goes to plan for them. WTC put up 2 shirts for the winners of the Dash 4 Cash & we are proud to support local people and communities.

Thanks to Team Fergy for racing RGM in the Hill Drags - instead of giving you 3/4 of the Hill head start - next time we will give you a bit more of a head start - but you are a legend for having a go!! You nearly did it!

We'll get some footage up on the net as soon as possible & all those who have footage - please contact me & I'll arrange to get it from you - Brad Mob: 0412 437 725 or email - braddukes@rock.ntn.com.au
Photos will also be up on website soon.

Other than that - I hope everyone had a great weekend!! Look out for Round 3 & the Enduro

Cheers
Brad

awsome pics taht was definantly a davo stage haha. that stage definantly tested a lot of teams even some of the more experienced teams, most enjoyable to watch, plus the many near rolls that came from the track changin, well done to all those who completed it i reckon
