Still keen to know if I can bring a crawler (running non-sticky 37's and a 2.0 litre 3SFE - might just be competitive!)

It's all a little quiet. Are there issues?
Those who choose to drive in the mud do so because they can't drive the rocks.

Yes. Unfortunately there have been a few changes to what was planned.
A few things have happened that have made running the event we had planned impossible. We have had a heap of interest from competitors but we don't have the number of qualified marshals needed to run the event we had planned, so unfortunately this event has been postponed to a later date when we have the time needed to make it happen with 80 competitors not 40.

What we are now doing is inviting the people that wanted to enter and the members of the 5 clubs that offered to help out to come up to the property to have a drive ;) on the tracks.
There will still be some costs involved, as we still need to cover our expenses, but it won't be anywhere near as much as was first listed.

I'm in the middle of contacting everyone that asked for an entry form to let them know what's happening, and I should be finished doing that tonight. I'd rather not list the details on a public forum.

Once again I'm sorry these changes have been made. But it's still going to be a great weekend for everyone that attends!

Hi,

All details will be finalized over the weekend, latest Monday night. The event will be definitely going full steam ahead.

The first 40 paid vehicles will be accepted. There will be more on entry conditions over the weekend/Monday night.

We are working within budgets to make the entry fee cheaper for competitors & more affordable for our club (On All 4's 4wd Club) to make this event more practical to run.

The rules will be near exactly the same as previous On All 4's Woodpecker events other than operational winches are mandatory & diff locks are required.

This event is held in extremely difficult natural terrain so if you are worried about panel damage, this is not the event for you.

The event is not a race & it is in 4 stages with point markers to 400. Unlike previous Woodpeckers if you do bomb out in a certain stage then you leave that particular stage & continue to the next.

There will be no food sold at this event, you will need to self cater. There will also be no showers available; however there will be portable toilets.

As per any event run by the On All 4's 4wd Club this event will be a nail biter.

Thanks & we will be keeping you up to date.

Hi.

We have an update. The first 50 vehicles to send an e-mail expressing interest to:

Richard at ruffgq@gmail.com
Cc - Jamie at gothe80@bigpond.net.au

will be accepted. Consideration will be made for the City versus Country element, ie; 10 city, 10 country, if possible. Both vehicles must be from the same element. You can't have a city or country together in a team.
The final date for this e-mail is Friday 21/05/10.
Cost is $200 per vehicle which includes navigators.

We will require:
Vehicle type and modifications
Driver and navigator license
Shirt orders, if required. Shirts will be $40 each.
Note the following sizes. S - 99cms, M - 105cms, L - 111cms, XL - 117cms,
XXL - 125cms. Any size over XXL add extra $5.

There will be a limited number of non-competing vehicles allowed. They must in a Club affiliated with the NSW/ACT 4wd Club Association. It will be $50 per vehicle and expressions of interest must be e-mailed to the above e-mail addresses by Friday 21/05/10. Payment will be required to be made by Friday 28/05/2010. Notification of your acceptance will be e-mailed on Monday 24/05/10.

Payment details will be confirmed within the next couple of days.

As stated earlier there will be no showers or catering.

The rules and regulations will be sent out to the 40 vehicles selected by return e-mail. The rules will be very similiar to previous Woodpecker Challenges. There are obstacles (such as the Waterfall) which will require a mandatory winch if you don't have a roll cage, which will incur a 10 point penalty.

Clubs have been contacted individually, other than on the Outer Limits Forum.

This event is being hosted by the On All 4's Club at very short notice and it's all about having a fun weekend. Having said that we are looking for a major sponsor to add a little bit of spice to the competition. We are looking for cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places. If you are at all interested, please contact the above e-mail address. We will need this information by the 21/05/10 to get art-work organized for shirts.

We will update any further information as required.

We will be doing this around about the 4/06/10.

Also we have made another stage (stage 5) last weekend, we will use this stage if there are volunteers willing to give a hand to marshal & the weekend goes alright.

James & Andrew from the Dubbo club are currently rounding up some marshals from their club.

If you would like to lend a hand with marshaling then send me an e-mail to gothe80@bigpond.net.au expressing your interest thank you.

Also all 5 stages have been driven unaided with out a winch (including the infamous water Fall); although the test vehicle rolled on it's side 4 times when testing stages 1-3. He had a little too much right foot.

The June long weekend is shaping up to be a cracker! don't miss out there are spots still available.

im not saying the tracks would be the hassle.
the hassle would be buying a winch and fitting it up.
and then i'd want rope and fairlead and bigger motor and another battery lol....or make a cage

then ive got to get the truck to take it there.

ive only really just finished it so id like to iron things out first too

Hi Guys,

We require 2 x teams for City to even it up. The Country boys will be harder enough to beat without letting them have an advantage. Also we don't want them to win the first one.
