Exhaust Leak - 4Runner

Post by PRONTO »

I have an 1989 Model F/I Petrol 4Runner that seems to have an exhaust leak. I had a similar problem approx 12 months ago and the fault was repaired and I was advised that the problem was manifold gaskets.

The problem has surfaced again with the emitting 'ticking' sound returning. I have been advised that the exhaust manifiolds on these models are prone to developing cracks thereby leaking exhaust gases. Has anyone experienced similar problems with their 4Runner?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Kill 2 birds with one stone and buy some extractors for your lux.
