40" MTRs Road Test.

Post by bj on roids »

Well despite being only available for 17" rims, these ones were one of the first sets in the country, these photos were taken at christmas time last year. And in the back ground you can see my tow rig (shitheaps)

I wish this was my tow rig, but sadly its a little out of my price range. Turbo diesel V8, 4" exhaust, performance chip, 40" tyres, will fit 44" tyres, bushwacker flares.

After driving all the way from sydney with the stereo cranked and the aircon pumping, pete said the suspension and everything was perfect. It looked the part and some hot laps needed to be pulled.

Makes my hilux (HULIX) look pretty small. The hilux is a 1997 model with IFS and 31x10.5" tyres for comparison.

In case you can't tell the pics are of Pete Antunac's old rig.

Cool huh. The tyres themselves felt fine sitting in the passenger seat, but the oxygen was pretty thin at that height.

Prolly just replacing some of the steering bolts. When it was up here it hgad worked loose on the big drive from sydney and snapped some bolts. On new years day i could only source trailer spring pins in the right size with the right thread and rating, was a crazy mission then shipping these parts to the island for them. Fawkin crazy ass times!! They must have been gettin up it.
