Real time help - zook fueling drama!!

Post by Pyrotech »

i am having a little issue with my zook,
1.3, single point EFI, vl fuel pump,

the drama i am having is the on left hand turns, i lose power, then the car seems to 'hunt' jerking as it seems to get fuel in spurts, i have checked filters, leads, plugs, dizzy cap, you can turn right hand all day and its fine, but as soon as u go left it plays up, not it wont do it every time :x :x

at first i thought it might be a binding issue, ie rear locker or similar, as it only does it on left handers, but then im also thinking it could be an electrical issue.. but cant work out where/how.

i am open to all idea

how far down your chassis rail is the pump??or how far below the tank?

mine has never played up on the road even cornering hard but on massive leans(dragging doors on ground) it will get a bit noisy starving for fuel

sitting there does it ever sound noisy/cavitating?
sierra truggy,37 sticky treps,propane,6.5s and disconnect,lux diffs with spools,16" fox shox,hydro steer.

the efi has been on the car for over 12 mths, it hasnt missed a beat up untill now, side angles, cornering etc

its only just started to happen,
it is just above chassis height and sits about 200m in front of the tank

Well there's ya problem! Too much friction loss over the 400m of return pipework. How's your turning circle?

Sounds like a fuel pump to me.
The zook ones can test fine but then not work properly in the car. My Vit does the same thing as yours. I'll just put up with it for a while.

Check the pickup in the tank There maybe something floating around in there and blocks it on turning.
