XJ steering clunk found!!!

Post by Tom Tom »

Anyone who's having trouble locating a clunk in their steering in their Cherokee I've found the problem! After numerous examinations I found the problem is that the bolt in the inside of the drivers side wheel arch had come loose and was rubbing when the steering wheel is turned.

Interesting, I found that my clunk was the front trackbar/panhard rod.

That's what I thought it may have been but the bolt that comes through from the wheel arch into the steering box came loose
