Pro comp vs tough dog
Pro comp vs tough dog
Hey guys
I've recently fitted 5 inch adj. Tough dogs in my GQ patrol, but am wanting to go a bit taller shocks to get more flex. Can't say I can fault the shocks so far just want longer ones. Just seeing what people think of the pro comps? I know they have more travel and are alot cheaper. What's the ride like on them.
Cheers

I'm running these in my GU Ute with 5" Lift. Selling quite a few at the moment with good response. Very good ride & value for money. Give me a call to talk more if you want. Cheers Dave.

There are adjustable pro comps but few and far between. The non adjustable ones kick arse. I have run a set in my GU for 100 000 km,s and are still going strong. Cant fault them.huntingqtas wrote:are the procomps adjustable?Southern Cross 4x4 wrote:I'm running these in my GU Ute with 5" Lift. Selling quite a few at the moment with good response. Ive run these in my rig! No dramas at all. great on and off the road! Only drama. getting the right leagth as some seem to be selling quicker then others! Apart from that a awesome shock! My mate has had them on his leaf sprung buggy now for over 5 years and still going strong!

I always found the rubber bushes to last a lot longer than the polyurethane ones. Poly bushes just crack apart under extreme flex where the rubber bushes squash and spring back. Although there are two type of bushes that are supposed to come with the shocks. One is a full sleve rubber bush which I never use or the two piece rubber bushes which are the ones which will last.Abitibi wrote:Only issues I've had with mine is that they come with rubber bushings that break down in no time. (where shocks meet vehicle...) Replaced those with poly bushings and life was good again. Not the best but great value.
