Superworksgold tools now called Calibre?????

Post by TheOtherLeft »

I was in SuperCrapAuto today and saw that they are selling out all of the SuperWorksGold tools and now rebranding them under Calibre. They both have lifetime warranty and made in Taiwan (which I think is Sidchrome).

Does anyone know why they are doing this as they seem to have created a good name with SWG? I have a few SWG tools and they seem good quality.

I bought some supacheap tools in the past (superworks brand or whatever it is) and they f*cked out on the first bolt I used them on. Needless to say they were retired to the wheelie bin not long after...

Superworks (made in China) brand is completely different to SuperWorksGold (made in Taiwan).

i work at super cheap and the reason they are doing is, is because caliber is also a super cheap brand (might have seen it around the store) but it is the highest quality super cheap brand. for example at sca u have "best buy" which is pure s***t and budget and that is made to compete with the pure budget crap out there. then you have just plane "super cheap auto" brand, which is middle of the range and it actually pretty good gear. then you have "caliber" which is top of the line and made to compete with the top of the line stuff out there.
by the way guys all "super works gold" and "caliber" tools are HALF PRICE at the moment so if your thinking about buy them do it now. im not sure how much longer this will be on for.
an yes "super works gold" is "sydchrome" but im not sure about "caliber", its still got a life time warranty though.
