gas advise
ive got a 351w 5spd f150 4x4 that goes like stink , its on dual fuel and i want to get rid of the fuel and run straight gas . What im after is ur opinion on what sort of set i should go. Ive had the gas research set up on a 350chev 1- tonner and didnt think it was that good. I want something that will give me plenty of gas when i want it as ive got a very heavy right foot and the motor screams for more but i think the set up on it is to small please throw me what u think all options considered
The Gasresearch is the best, the only reason it wouldn't perfom better than any of the mixer based Gas systems is due to poor tuning, I removed hundreds of Impco, Srintgas, OHG and other gas systems to upgrade to Gasresearch in my 10 years there and in that time there was only one vehicle that didnt't improve and that was due to a customer who refused to take our advice and repair the ignition system that was worn out.
Any fuel system, no matter how good is only as good as the tune.
Cheers

This is only my opinion (and what i use), I would go an Impco 425 mixer. They are reasonably cheap and none of the tuning thats involved with the GR mixers.
I have never used a GR mixer so can only go on what ive read. There have been many who have success like PGS 4WD, but ive also read too many negative experiences (yes prob due to few ppl know how to tune them or have all the rods etc). All the gas fitters i spoke to (all dealt significantly with custom systems) didnt like GR either.
