KIA Sportage DIFF LOCKS Ring and pinions

Post by 4runnernomore »

Hello,

I have made some enquiries about diffllocks and ring pinion gears for Kia Sportages from a xompany in Greece. http://www.protrack.gr/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I recieved a reply bac today from Micheal and it is finally possible since the demiss of Tanker Motors in Korea

Here was Micheals reply:

Hello Chris.

Yes, we do make a locker for the Sportage (the old model with the 28 spline
rear).I don't have any in stock, and you have to place an order to start
producing.The rear costs 950 euro and the front costs 650 euro (the prices do not
include tax or shipping).We have 5.29 ring and pinions, but these cannot be used with the factory
carrier/diff.On top of that the locker p/n is different for factory ring/pinion or 5.29
ring/pinion.The ring and pinion set for both front and rear cost 700 euro and include 2
bearings and yokes that are needed for install.
Our company has built reduction gears for the t-case, but because of
extensive work that needs to be done on the t-casing itself and due to lack
of interest, we do not produce them any more.

Regards,
Michael

So who will be the first to be double diffed in AUS?

Cheers, Chris

Re: KIA Sportage AIR OPERATED DIFF LOCKS and Ring and pinio

Post by 4runnernomore »

Hi all,

For all those that are interested I have purchased a front difflock for my sportage from Kaiser. http://www.kaiserlocker.com/en/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have also established contact with a company in Korea that still sells gear for the Sportage. http://www.offroad.co.kr/shop/main/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you will need atranslator tool as the site is in Korean.

I have already purchased and recieved a set of 50 mm extended front forks from them.

Other items available are front and rear difflocks( rear for 28 spline models only 98 on), 5.38 ring and pinions and adjustable panhard rod.

Hope this is of interest for other Sporty owners. I can PM you the conact email address if you are interested in making contact with the exporter for offroad.co.kr

Cheers, Chris
