Superior Allterrain Challenge 2010

Post by wormmic »

Gday Everyone. We are ready for another year.

First thing for the year will be a track build weekend on 17th ,18th of April ,so if you have a spare Bobcat or 20 tonne Excavator doing nothing on that weekend feel free to bring it along.Actually a whipper snipper or even shovel would be good to if you don't have machinery.

The first round for the year will be at Expo so we hope to see you all.

Cheers Mick

ooooohhhhhh its on now... :D took the bus on a test drive today and broke a cv on a small rock. Paul has done a great job under it and it will now be the battle of the full bodied wagons. bus has working shocks now so who knows where it will go, maybe on its roof. pucker time on yuri rock in a wag's though.

how does the gold wagon sound....... tickity, tickity, tickity or vroom, vroon , vroom.

Well good too see everyone is ready for the weekend .We spent the sat and sun of the track build working flat out, came up with a few new obstacles, tidied up the track in a few areas fluffed up rocks in other places ,whipper snipped everywhere and painted all tyres and bunting posts. Hopefully you lot will see them a bit better and keep away from them .
If everyone could be down to the track early,7 am would be good, to get all paperwork and scrutineering done then we can walk the track ,racing will start at 9 am. Cya's all there on the weekend Mick

what a great weekend.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will let Craig and the officials put up all the result later but in the battle of the gold bus vs purple bus the purple bus was beaten by the gold bus  . just not quik enough around those pegs. :D . There was some great drives from everyone on the weekend. A special mention to Ken and Callum from team Massey who did an awesome job of "running in" their new truck.
we had to shoot off straight after the event so I didnt get to catch up with everyone to thank them. SO THANKS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED. We say this every year but this is such a great event to be involved in. The organiser, officials, photographers, excavator drivers, the track builders, competitors, competitors freinds and family and anyone else who has anything to do with this event make it what it is. Everyone has an absolute ball. If you come out to watch next time make sure at some stage you have a look at the track from the lower side of the fence as it puts a whole new perspective on it. And yes as a driver we do like to get those driving tips from thee crowd so keep 'em coming. ;)

Thanx again guys and girls cant wait for round 2 now...

we will be out for a day hopefully but only as spectators  . have a yard with 3 patrols in it to strip before the neighbours complain to the council, a shed to run all the 3 phase cabling from the street to the back yard (about 60 mtrs) dig the trench and move 3 truck loads of dirt through the new shed so we can prep and pour the next slab asap.

hiring a dingo for the day so we get it for 4 as the fri is a holiday for the show up here....

best of luck to everyone and i hope you dont enjoy yourselves to much with out us.....

pics or ban of round 2. :D :D

Yet another awesome weekend put on by Craig,Mick and the all-terrain guys an girls. Congrats and thanks to you all,we had a ball.
Congrats to all the competitors also there was some great driving all weekend. We had a little bit of a busy weekend with Haylea and Ken both driving the truck this round, we were getting really good at adjusting seats an harnesss by the end of the weekend. But it payed off in the end with a first place overall to Ken an myself and a 4th to Haylea overall an highest points in womens class.
Cant wait for Rd 3 with only a little bit of work to do before hand on the truck.
Again congrats an thanks to all involved it was great.A special thanks has to go to Craig for letting the navi's have a go at driving this time it was awesome fun.
Cheers
