the engine goes good to 2300rpm and then dies and it is hard to get to full noise any ideas on what may be the problem?????

def need more info if it's diesel start with the fuel filter. did it happen all of a sudden after fueling??? if so then defiantly filter issue

More info would be good, but sounds like one of your induction hoses is collapsing.

I have seen badly clogged air filters behave like this ^^ as well.

Take it to nissan my was done the same thing its a sensor (can't remeber which one excactly which ain't much help) it cost about 200 bucks i remeber

thanks to all that replied started with the basic fuel and air filter checked the air pipes weren,t colapsing so i started unplugging sences and found the one near the air filter [whatever it does] didn't make a difference, so i pulled it out and sprayed it with some contact cleaner put it back in and it's going good again......thanks again.

It will be the Mass Air Flow Sensor in my opinion, if you have a mate with another like vehicle ask to swap it in and check it out, its on the intake tube just outside the Filter housing, can't remember the price new.


Edit: Fuck a duck you already pulled it. By the way its the MAF they go all the time.
