im looking at puting a winch bar on my 90' surf and i found one that is off a 70 series cruiser. does anybody know if it will fit on my surf?

no idea... but if you have a grinder and a welder, im sure it will fit eventually

hey rick, the 70 series bar mounts totally different to a surf, u need a hilux of 4runner bar.

Was thinking about this a bit more this afternoon when i was bumming around the carpark at work as we had 3 hilux's and about 10 or 15 or so 70 series cruisers...

I never had a tape measure so was all just guesswork... But from the looks of it, the cruiser one looks alot wider, which you'd need to cut down to make fit, as well as the hoops seem alot taller than the lux one too to cater for the bigger square style headlights

And that was just the obvious differences


Definately too much work i reckon mate, unless of course you already had the bar and some free time, you could try, but would take a bit

thanks a lot for the info

dont have the bar, and was planning on cutting off the hoops and making like a sahara winch bar.

but if it is not worth it it is not worth it.

i made a GQ bar fit a surf/hilux so im sure you can fit it one way or another it just depends how much work and how good you are on the tools.
