That's pretty similar to the setup GRPABT1 runs (not on here any more?)

It's not an uncommon setup and will work fine.

Hey mate, im from rocky too. Mine's got 31 mudders, 6.5's and stock diffs and engine. This is fine as a daily driver and offroad (can hold 100 pretty easily), so a gti engine and lockers could only make it better. Definately have a look on Auszookers though

The 6.5s are a must for any zook running 31s in my opinion.

They are worth their weight in girl-nipples.

Yeah mate i daily mine. I haven't really broken anything serious yet and i've had the 31's and 6.5's in for almost a year. The only thing that's really gone wrong is my transfer case giving me troubles as i put the gears in myself without the right tools. I dont tend to drive it that hard though because it's my only car, so if your planning on adding a more powerfull engine definately look at stregthening your transfer case and mounts.

As far as the cops go, i hardly get a second look and i drive straight throught musgrave st every day. I figure as long as your tires aren't hanging way out, you have mud flaps and it looks overly clean, they wont really bother you....unless its the DOT lol
