water in sump oil??
water in sump oil??
i have a gq tb42 i thnk ther is water in the sump oil,, wondering wat could be the problem?? and how to fix it
You think there is water in the sump oil ?? Its pretty easy to tell, if the engine has been run with water in the sump for any length of time, pull the dipstick and it'll look like a caramel milkshake, in my experience the cause is either a head gasket or somhow the water galleries have rusted through to the oil galleries.
If you have water in the Sump oil , typicaly the oil will go a milky colour .
not exactly sure , but you could have corrosion in the engine thats allowing the radiator water into the block . has it been using water ?.
If so , I'd just start off by pressure testing the cooling system with the engine at running temp .
I havn't had this problem in a car engine before , but bad a similar issue's with motrobikes . there was corrosion in the water pump and the coolant was going strait through the bottom end . not good
hopfully someone else will have a better idear and it's nothing to bad
