Glow Plugs

Post by zagan »

I've had a problem and only just found out what's been causing it.

Maybe someone else had the same problem.

The problem is The glow plug light light's up (working I guess) anyway motor starts up fine.

Though when turning off the motor it won't stop, and have to pull a plug on the fuel pump or pull the fuse.

Is this normal? meaning they need to be replaced now or is this something else?

The glow plugs wouldn't have anything to do with it. Most likely the fuel cut solenoid has stuck in the "on" position I would say.

Sticky solenoid by the sound of it. Bypass it and run a push button and glow when you need too.
Don't take life too seriously...it isn't permanent.
