Hilux V8 Conversion

Post by mallen101 »

Hello All,

I have a RN46 83 Hilux. It currently has a 18r engine. I use it for work and have noticed that the 18r is a little underpowered for full loads, towing etc.

Anywho I'm thinking of a V8 conversion and after a little advice. Basically I'm looking at whatever is the best all round. Price, ease and compatibility and what is the best engine to put in it.

I assume there's a few people here that have done this so I'd be heaps appreciative of your advice.

Nope not illegal, spoke to an engineer on monday about a 5.0 in an 86 lux. The engine was the least of his worries
