can a 12 volt combination switch be used on a 24 volt system.I have had both apart cant see any difference.No circuit boards in either both work the same off brass fingers and brass contacts .Cheers.

Yes they can, but any indicator lights that may be built into switch wont like it.

Current rating of switch will usually be about half what it is on 12V as well from what I've seen in the narva and hella catalogues.
