reseal if it's in ok condition (other than leaks). You can never be too sure about the quality of a wrecked box or even exchange ones.

I'd strip it down and see what the damage is first.

You can buy the kits and they're not that dear. But after seeing one apart, I dropped mine off at the nearest steering shop and let them do it. Turned out it had a bent shaft as well, which would have made it leak again anyway.
Don't take life too seriously...it isn't permanent.
