How much for a front guard? GU IV 3.0

Post by of4x4 »

Hi all,

What do they say, if you don't come home with panel damamge, you weren't trying hard enough? Well apparently, I now make the grade

I punched a sizable dent / scrape in my front left guard on the weekend on a fallen tree hidden on a overgrown track. :bad-words:

I'm trying to find out what a reasonable price to pay for a new guard would be (new -v- from a wreckers). It's a 2006 GU IV 3 litre.

I don't think it'll be worth an insurance claim - especially if I'm lucky enough to find the right colour one at a wreckers..... ;)

Any thoughts or directions? I'm in Melbourne.

I think you are going to be surprised how expensive they are and may look at making an insurance claim...

have a look at the kevlar/fibeglass ones on this site. Pretty good $$ wise and light weight.. changing bonnet and guards saves like close to 90kg. Also.. kevlar... bullet proof. literally
